I recently returned from a long film/music tour of Europe entitled Last Refuge for the Senses, or Noise Hippies Against All War. On tour, Ben Russell and I performed a new collaborative piece, in which he used a 16mm projector with flicker loops, handheld lenses and prisms to create a kind of improvisational cinema. I used handmade, light-sensitive electronics to translate the projector's light into sound. It was a hypnotic, deafening, and peaceful.

At least two new releases are in the works. Brain Cloud, featuring overtone-based drone compositions for nine or more pianos (plus throat-singing and other things), will be out on the Spekk label shortly.

In addition, a split LP with Sun Circle (Greg Davis and Zach Wallace doing zonked, fried drone) is in the works from Music Fellowship. I was very happy with our split cassette, so I'm psyched to be sharing a record with them again.
